Pacquiao vs Margarito: PacMan Getting Back In Shape. Filipino boxing sensation Manny Pacquiao is scheduled to clash with Antonio Margarito but there are reports that the seven-time world champion is not taking proper training, raising questions over Pacquiao’s readiness for his fight against or not.
Recently, it was reported that Pacquiao is not attending training sessions and was not able to focus on the upcoming in the first stage of his preparations as well because he chose to attend to some matters for congress and was also busy sorting out some personal issues. It is to be noted that Pacquiao is a lawmaker in his Philippines.
Pacquiao missed some training sessions because he was busy playing basketball. Freddie Roach, Pacquiao’s coach since 2005, is unhappy over his ward not paying much attention to his training and he expressed his unhappiness recently saying that this was their worst camp ever.
Roach was unwilling to train Pacquiao in Philippines from Day 1, because he knew that the pugilist will not be able to concentrate on his preparations, but Manny overruled Roach and started undergoing training first in Metro Manila and then moved to the City of Pines.
But the second phase of training has now started and Pacquiao is now in Los Angeles with Roach. It seems likely that they have been able to make up for the time which they had lost while in Philippines. Roach is also looking satisfied now as he recently said that Pacquiao has finally starting to resemble the “real” Manny.
